JESSE 5 times since 2002
I have never set foot on the Netherlands let alone in the quiet town of Nijmegan. But oh...what a place to be on New Year Eve and the days that followed. Nijmegan is a little town with a big heart for Tango.

The best place to dance is usually known through word of mouth. I first heard of "Nijmegan" from friends in San Francisco. From their descriptions I was intrigue but gave it no further thought. At least, not until a few months before the year was coming to an end.

For about a year or so, I was in a tango lull. My "creativity"
stagnates, and my desire to grow as a dancer frustrated me because I was feeling a regression in my dancing and gradual disconnection with my partners. I wanted to dance some place different during the Holidays. To nurture my creativity, I want to be in a place where the music is great and the people are warm and friendly.

The El Corte or the "Nijmegan" experience was beyond my expectation. It's like I've came back home to old friends that I haven't met yet. Thank you, Eric, Komala, Stephan, Tilla, and others I have missed and have yet to get to know more. I hope to see you all again next year (or sooner.)

Peace and Love.
